Attracting Birds

In an effort to do my bit for the local wildlife population, I have taken to putting some mixed seeds out for the birds each day. So far we have one robin and a dove pecking around. Hopefully we'll get a few blackbirds too. They should do a good job on the slugs that I spent much of last year impaling on a home-made spear (bit of bamboo with a pin on the end).
